Our TEAM is comprised of compounding Pharmacists Jason Turner and Katie Kacmarik AND pharmacy technicians – Amy and Kayla – all with specialized training in compounding. Together, we have demonstrated our commitment to patients of Athena Health Center with accessibility, medication counseling, quality compounding, and prompt service.

Our SERVICES include Medication Synchronization and routine patient follow-up to simplify the prescription refill process and to ensure that patients always have their medications. We have a proven track record of PROMPT SERVICE and in many cases, SAME-DAY MAILINGS.

New Standards

Recently, new standards have been published by the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) for compounding practices, that are now in effect. Published in the USP Compounding Compendium, updates to the USP Chapter <795> and a newly created USP Chapter <800> have been established to describe compounding practice, policies and product integrity, requirements for handling certain types of drugs, and to promote patient safety, worker safety, and environmental protection.

Across the industry, costs are increasing because expenses are increasing to meet these guidelines – and compounding pharmacies across West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania are closing rapidly.

As a result, Moundsville Pharmacy has invested in our compounding equipment and expanded our compounding lab to meet new guidelines. We have already incorporated additional processes into our practice to provide our staff the safest environment to compound and the highest quality outcomes. Furthermore, PCCA has been required to do the same.
